Their Future
In the Njiru district of Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya, persistent poverty has left many families in dire need. These communities, living in rural areas and informal settlements, face alarming challenges such as high infant mortality rates, low per capita income, limited school enrolment, and poor health and sanitation conditions.
This dire situation is the result of economic and political mismanagement, aggravated by external factors. The people of Njiru have lived in extreme poverty for decades, with stone mining as the primary labor-intensive industry.
Additionally, HIV/AIDS has played a significant role in perpetuating poverty, leaving many orphaned and struggling. Njiru, situated near one of Nairobi's largest slums, has a population of 500,000, many of whom survive on just one dollar a day, leading to unstable and crisis-prone lives.

Daily meal provisions
For the past four years, we've been running a daily food program from our simple and humble centre. We serve hot meals to 20-30 people every day. Many of these individuals are struggling with extreme poverty, living on less than a pound a day, leading to unstable lives. Your support can make a significant difference in their lives.
Sponsoring orphans to school
Give a Chance is in the process of constructing a small school and orphanage to provide a home for approximately 20 orphans. We're working closely with a local partner who generously donated land and funding for this project. Our Trustees make frequent trips to Kenya to oversee and support all our collaborative initiatives. Your generosity can help us make a lasting impact.
Empowering women
We host a weekly meetup for women and children who've experienced the loss of loved ones, often due to the devastating impact of AIDS. "Give a Chance" organizes a music group that sings to uplift their spirits, welcoming people of all religions and backgrounds. Our open-door policy encourages everyone to join in, and many choose to sing gospel music. Your support can bring hope and healing to these individuals.
Building water stations
In 2015, Give a Chance established a water station on our site to offer free water to our local community. We teamed up with a pre-existing water source that needed repairs. Our project involved building a new reservoir and renovating all existing pipelines that connect to an underground water source. It's been a great success, with many community members coming to collect free water to support their families in the area. Your kindness can help us continue this vital service.
Building a hospital in Njiru, Kenya
Our charity has received land in Njiru, Kenya, to construct a modern hospital for impoverished areas in Nairobi. This one-acre land is our starting point. We're actively seeking support to develop and fund our new hospital. Our goal is to raise the necessary funds for the New Project's construction. Together, we can bring free healthcare to communities in desperate need of basic medical services. Your generosity can make this vision a reality.
"Give a Chance has given these women hope to continue the program. I thank to God for their cooperation."
